Baba Ramdevji ( V.S. 1409 – 1442 ) ( 1352 – 1385 AD) is a folk–deity of Rajasthan in India. He was a saint of the fourteenth century who devoted his life for the upliftment of downtrodden and poor people of the society, which were marginalized by Invaders. A temple was built around Ramdevji’s final resting place by Maharaja Ganga Singh of Bikaner in 1931 AD. Ramdevji was a Meghwal Born deity, however there is question mark on this identity because of his finding place. Meghwal were a depressed class at that time and Baba Ramdev was shown lot of miracles in Meghwal’s house so he was fierd off and he gave his child to a tanwar family, which they later on claimed theirself questions was again came into light and many Pandits, Scholars has done lot of reserch on his identity and they got lot of evidences, scripts and other supporting stuffs which proved that he was born in Meghwal community whom Meghwal adopted as their Lok Devta, . While Hindus regard him as an incarnation of Lord Krishna (who was himself an incarnation of Lord Vishnu), Muslims venerate him as Ramshah Pir or Ramapir or Hindwapir. He is said to have had miraculous powers, and his fame reached far and wide and was confirmed by Peers of Mecca.
